Cultural Performances Highlight Telangana Government's Welfare Schemes

In Jogulamba Gadwal district, a cultural troupe performed songs to raise awareness about six flagship welfare schemes implemented by the Telangana government. This initiative is part of the Praja Palana Program, organized under the guidance of District Collector B.M. Santosh and led by District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Arifuddin.

The event was supervised by Tehsildar MD Zubair Mohinuddin, Deputy Tehsildar Jhansi Rani, and RI Nagireddy. The cultural troupe, led by its president Rahul, conducted performances in villages such as Bijwaram, Amaravai, and Peddapalli in Maldakal Mandal.

Campaign Details and Focus

The awareness campaign, which runs for 19 days starting December 7, focuses on educating the public about the government’s achievements over the past year. The six key welfare schemes highlighted in the campaign include:
1. Free bus travel for women in RTC buses.
2. Subsidized LPG cylinders priced at ₹500.
3. 200 units of free electricity.
4. Rajiv Aarogyasri health insurance.
5. Indira Mahila Shakti initiatives.
6. Interest-free loans for women’s self-help groups.

In addition to these schemes, the campaign also emphasized other initiatives such as 50,000 job opportunities, loan waivers, and rural welfare programs.

Community Involvement and Participation

The program saw active participation from Deputy Tehsildar officials, revenue inspectors, local villagers, and cultural artists including Bhupathi Ramadevi, Hazrat Krishna Swamy, and Keshavulu. Their performances aimed to connect with the audience and ensure a deeper understanding of the welfare programs.

Objective of the Campaign

The initiative seeks to create awareness about the government’s efforts to improve the lives of Telangana’s citizens. By using cultural performances, the program hopes to effectively communicate the significance and benefits of these welfare schemes to the rural population.
