The Telangana government has issued the first alert as the Godavari river is overflowing at Bhadrachalam due to heavy rainfall in the Godavari basin. Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekhar Rao has given instructions to Chief Secretary Smt Santhi Kumari regarding emergency measures in the affected areas.

The government has asked the Police Department and other concerned departments to be on high alert and take immediate action. The CM has instructed officials to be prepared for relief efforts and to evacuate people from areas that are at risk of flooding in Bhadrachalam.

KCR has mentioned that officials who performed well during previous floods will be utilized for this situation. Anudeep Durishetti, the current Collector of Hyderabad, has been instructed to go to Bhadrachalam and coordinate relief efforts based on the flood situation.

Control rooms have been set up in various offices, including the state Secretariat, to monitor the situation. Helicopters have also been made available for rescue and relief operations by the NDRF forces. The government has made all necessary arrangements for rescue and relief efforts in Bhadrachalam.

Officials from Revenue, Panchayati Raj, Medical and Health Department, and Disaster Management have been instructed to be alert and take immediate action. The Chief Secretary will be monitoring the situation regularly. The state government is prepared to handle any situation, according to the CM.
