Telangana Government Launches Pilot Project for Family Identity Card Survey in Wanaparthy

In an effort to improve family records and identity verification, G. Ravi Naik, the Joint Mahbub Nagar District Special Officer, has started collecting family details in the 10th Ward of Anjanagiri village, which is part of the Wanaparthy Municipality. This survey is part of the Telangana Family Identity Card project, aiming to make family identification easier across the state.

District Collector Adarsh Surabhi, along with Additional Collector for Local Bodies Sanchit Gangwar, inspected the ongoing house-to-house survey. The inspection started in Anjanagiri village and later moved to the 10th Ward of Nagavaram, also part of the municipality.

During the survey, a local resident named J. Jayamma personally verified her household details. When asked about the accuracy of the data collected, Tehsildar Raju explained that names already in the government’s database are recorded on Form 1, while new names are noted in Form 2.

The special officer stressed the need for careful data entry to prevent any duplication of information. Municipal Commissioner Poorna Chander, along with team leaders Tehsildar Raju and Ramesh Reddy, are also playing active roles in ensuring the success of this survey.

Officials hope that this pilot project will serve as a model for a more widespread system of family identification throughout Telangana.
