Telangana Government Highlights Welfare Schemes Through Cultural Programs

The Telangana Government is working to raise awareness about its welfare initiatives as part of the “Praja Palana” (People’s Governance) program. To achieve this, artists from the Telangana Cultural Sarathi troupe are performing songs and organizing programs to showcase six major schemes introduced over the past year. These cultural events are being held during public victory celebrations to connect people in rural areas with government benefits. The initiative is being led by District Collector B.M. Santhosh and coordinated by District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Arif Uddin.

In the Jogulamba Gadwal district, the cultural team, under the guidance of Erravalli Mandal Tahsildar Naresh, visited villages such as Erravalli, Konder, and Vallur. The celebrations, which run from November 19 to December 7, are spread across 19 days and aim to highlight the government’s achievements in a grand manner.

The key welfare schemes promoted during these programs include free RTC bus travel for women, cooking gas cylinders for ₹500, 200 units of free electricity, and the Rajiv Arogyasri health insurance program. Other schemes include the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme, 50,000 job recruitments, loan waivers, and interest-free loans for women’s self-help groups.

The Telangana Cultural Sarathi team conveyed details of these schemes through engaging performances, songs, and interactions with the public. Villagers actively participated in the events, which also saw the presence of officials and cultural artists. Notable attendees included Tahsildar Naresh and artists such as Prasad, Bhupati, Ramadevi, Hazrat, Krishna, Swami, Kavitha, and Keshavulu.

These efforts reflect the government’s commitment to ensuring that its welfare programs reach every corner of the state, particularly rural communities.
