Hyderabad – The Telangana government has announced an extension of the deadline for availing the 25% rebate on the regularization of unapproved and illegal layouts under the Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS) 2020. Applicants now have time until April 30 to complete the processing and disposal of LRS applications.
According to the latest government order, all applicants who pay regularization charges and/or pro-rata open space charges on or before March 31, 2025, will be eligible for the 25% rebate. However, those who opt to pay pro-rata open space charges later—at the time of obtaining building permission—will not be eligible for the discount.
This extension comes as a relief to thousands of applicants facing technical difficulties, incorrect fee intimations, and pending application processing issues. Many citizens had urged the government for more time due to unresolved discrepancies in their applications.
With the deadline now pushed to April 30, applicants have one final opportunity to complete their LRS payments and formalities before the scheme concludes.
