Hyderabad witnessed a large political rally organized by Telangana Congress leaders on Tuesday. The “Chalo Raj Bhavan” protest was led by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud. Key leaders like Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, and other ministers also took part. The rally began at the Indira Gandhi statue on Necklace Road and ended at Raj Bhavan.
The purpose of the rally was to protest against the Central government’s alleged inaction on important issues, including the unrest in Manipur and the Adani controversy. A massive crowd of Congress workers, leaders, and supporters marched together, carrying party flags to show their solidarity.
To manage the situation, city police made extensive security arrangements along the rally route, which stretched from Necklace Road to Raj Bhavan. Despite the heightened police presence, the protesters were determined to voice their demands.
When the protestors reached Raj Bhavan, Revanth Reddy, Mahesh Kumar Goud, and other Congress leaders sat on the main road as a form of protest. They criticized the Central government for its handling of the Adani controversy and the crisis in Manipur.
The Congress leaders announced plans to submit a memorandum to the Governor. They hope to draw attention to their concerns and push for immediate action on these pressing issues. This event highlights the Congress party’s efforts to address critical matters as they prepare for upcoming political challenges in Telangana.
