Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced a major partnership with Skyroot Aerospace to set up a private rocket manufacturing, integration, and testing facility in the state. The agreement was signed during an event in Davos, with Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu also present.
Skyroot Aerospace, a Hyderabad-based company, plans to invest ₹500 crore in the project. This initiative is expected to make Telangana a key hub for private space activities in India.
Expressing his excitement, CM Revanth Reddy shared his pride in Hyderabad-based companies achieving success in advanced sectors like space. He said, “It is a moment of great honor that a company from Hyderabad is achieving milestones in the advanced space sector. The youth of Telangana have demonstrated exceptional talent globally, and Skyroot Aerospace’s investment is a testament to their capabilities.”
Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized that this collaboration reflects the government’s strategic vision for the space industry. He stated, “This partnership showcases our commitment to making Hyderabad a central hub for private space initiatives.”
Pawan Kumar Chandana, Co-founder of Skyroot Aerospace, also expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. “We are thrilled to work with the Telangana government under the leadership of CM Revanth Reddy. This initiative aligns with the goals of ‘Telangana Rising’ and ‘Hyderabad Rising.’ We are excited to contribute to the state’s growth in space technology,” he said.
