Telangana CM Pushes for Faster Progress on Regional Ring Road Project
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to speed up the land acquisition process for the Telangana Regional Ring Road (RRR) project. He emphasized resolving issues related to the forest department as soon as possible. To streamline the process, he suggested appointing dedicated officers from both the Forest and Roads & Buildings (R&B) departments to improve coordination.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat to discuss the progress of the RRR, R&B projects, and national highways. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, cabinet ministers, and senior officials.
Key Decisions from the Meeting
1. Nagpur-Vijayawada Corridor
Officials were directed to complete all pending land acquisition in Telangana districts by Sankranti, ensuring that the project moves forward without delays.
2. Development of Road Infrastructure
Revanth Reddy stressed that every village in Telangana should have proper BT (Bitumen Tar) roads connecting to mandal headquarters. He instructed officials to design these roads with adequate width to accommodate future needs and release the necessary funds in phases to make this goal a reality.
Prominent ministers such as Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Konda Surekha, and Danasari Seethakka participated in the meeting. Other attendees included CM’s advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Telangana State Road Development Corporation Chairman Mallareddy Ram Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and senior officials.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of infrastructure projects in boosting connectivity and supporting Telangana’s overall development. He urged officials to ensure the seamless execution of these projects to meet the state’s long-term goals.
