Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has given the green light to install a 100-foot statue of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) in Hyderabad. NTR, a legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, remains a beloved figure in the region.
The decision was made during a meeting held on Thursday, December 19. The meeting included NTR’s son, Mohanakrishna, along with TD Janardhan, the Chairman of the NTR Literature Committee, and committee member Madhusudhana Raju.
The statue will be located near the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad. Alongside the statue, plans are underway to develop an NTR Knowledge Center at the site. The committee envisions this project as a way to transform the area into a significant tourist destination.
During the meeting, the committee also requested the chief minister to allocate land for the project. They emphasized the importance of the initiative as a tribute to NTR’s contributions to cinema and politics.
Following the discussions, the NTR Literature Committee confirmed that the chief minister had agreed to provide the necessary land for the installation of the statue.
