Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to visit Bhadrachalam today.

Devotees of Lord Rama in Bhadrachalam are looking forward to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to the temple town on Monday. This will be his first visit to the town since becoming the CM. During his visit, he will offer special prayers at the famous Lord Rama temple.

The historical Lord Rama temple, also known as Dakshina Ayodhya, was neglected by the previous government. They did not allocate any funds for its development, leaving devotees disappointed. Now, people are hopeful that the Congress government will make concrete commitments to improve the temple.

There are plans to develop the temple in various ways, including constructing two prakarams, Nityakalayana Mandapam, Annadana Satram, a flyover bridge to Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple, and improving Mada Veedhulu and Mithila Stadium. Additionally, residents are urging the government to strengthen the ‘Karakatta’ embankment to prevent flooding in the town.

Over the past decade, Bhadrachalam temple has faced neglect in terms of development. People are also calling for the restoration of five panchayats that were merged into Andhra Pradesh during the state bifurcation. Despite promises from previous leaders, funds for temple development and flood relief operations have not been delivered. Residents are hoping that the CM will prioritize the upkeep of the temple and improve amenities in the area.
