Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has asked officials to stay alert due to the problems caused by sudden heavy rains in Hyderabad. The unseasonal downpour has led to waterlogging in many low-lying areas, and strong winds have made the situation worse. The Chief Minister has called for quick action to help people and reduce difficulties.
He told Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari to keep checking the situation in the city closely. He also said that extra care must be taken to make sure people living in low-lying areas don’t suffer. Officials should clear water from roads quickly to avoid traffic jams and power cuts. Departments like the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the police, and the electricity board have been asked to work together.
The Chief Minister also told officials to restore electricity in the affected areas as soon as possible. He wants relief efforts to reach waterlogged neighborhoods quickly. Police officers have been directed to stay on the streets and help manage traffic smoothly to stop congestion.
Other districts in the state are also facing heavy rain, strong winds, and hailstorms. Revanth Reddy has asked district collectors, police, and all other departments to stay alert and take action to deal with any problems.
