Hyderabad: The Telangana state cabinet, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, took several important decisions during an extended meeting that lasted over five hours.

One of the key announcements was the decision to provide financial assistance of ₹6,000 to landless individuals. This aid will be distributed on December 28. The cabinet also approved the issuance of new ration cards, which will be handed out after the Sankranti festival, bringing relief to eligible families.

In another major development, the government disclosed that Governor Bandaru Dattatreya has approved an inquiry into allegations of fund diversion for the e-Formula race project by former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). Sources revealed that the governor granted permission after consulting legal experts. A formal letter will soon be sent to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) via the Chief Secretary to initiate the investigation.

Responding to allegations involving KTR, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy criticized the opposition for suggesting that arresting KTR could lead to unrest in the state. He called such claims “arrogant” and emphasized that the Congress is not acting out of spite but is highlighting alleged irregularities for the public to consider.

Finally, the cabinet approved action against IAS officer Aravind Kumar, signaling a commitment to holding officials accountable and ensuring transparency in the administration.
