There has been ongoing speculation about the expansion of Telangana’s cabinet for several months. However, it now seems that the wait will continue.
Earlier, ministers had suggested that the cabinet reshuffle might take place by the end of December. But recent developments indicate that this timeline is unlikely. While discussions with party leaders had initially raised hopes, the expansion appears to be delayed further.
One major reason for the postponement is that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is currently traveling overseas. Additionally, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is also scheduled to travel abroad during the third week of this month.
With the state budget session coming up in February, senior Congress leaders believe that a cabinet expansion in January is unlikely. This means the much-anticipated reshuffle could be pushed back even further into the year.
