Telangana Assembly sessions commence today, with KCR expected to attend

The Telangana Assembly is set to convene today at 11 AM. The meeting will start with a mourning for the late Cantonment MLA, Lasya Nandita.

The assembly sessions will begin with the Governor’s address. Budget discussions are scheduled for July 25, and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka will present the Telangana budget on that day. KCR has decided to attend the assembly on the day of the budget presentation. This comes amidst ongoing political dynamics following the BRS’s defeat in the last elections, which has moved the party to opposition status.

KCR is currently recovering from hip bone surgery, which had previously kept him away from assembly meetings. His doctors advised him to take sufficient rest. During earlier sessions, his party members, K.T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao, strongly rebutted Congress party officials.

There is growing speculation about a potential merger of the BRS legislative party with Congress as discussions progress.

The assembly sessions are expected to last around 10 days. Key topics to be covered include the upcoming budget, loan waivers, the Dharani initiative, Rythu Bharosa, job creation, the installation of the Telangana Thalli statue, and the government symbol.

The political landscape in Telangana remains active as all eyes turn to the assembly meetings and KCR’s participation.
