T Harish Rao declares Telangana as the ideal destination for a peaceful life for all minorities in Sangareddy

Minister for Finance, T Harish Rao, stated that Telangana is the only state in India that implements various welfare schemes for the development of minorities, making it the best place for them to live peacefully. He made these remarks at a program in Sangareddy district where he distributed BC Bandhu and Minority Bandhu cheques to beneficiaries. Rao emphasized that Telangana is the most peaceful state for minorities, contrasting it with BJP-ruled states where minorities feel insecure, and Congress and BJP-ruled states where minorities are neglected in terms of development.

Rao highlighted the discrepancy in financial allocation for minority development in other states compared to Telangana. He mentioned that Uttar Pradesh has a minority population of four crores, followed by 2.55 crores in West Bengal, 1.50 crores in Maharashtra, and 90 lakhs in Karnataka. However, the budget allocation for their development does not exceed Rs. 2,000 crores. In contrast, Telangana, with a Muslim population of about 50 lakhs, allocates Rs. 2,000 crores for their development. Rao commended Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s commitment to the welfare of minorities based on this allocation.
