SUDA Chairman accuses BRS leaders of spreading false claims against CM

Karimnagar: Komatireddy Narender Reddy, SUDA Chairman and City Congress Committee president, has accused the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) leaders of spreading false information regarding MLA Kaushik Reddy. He stated that contrary to BRS claims, several cases had been registered against Kaushik Reddy before the formation of the Congress government.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Narender Reddy alleged that senior BRS leaders, including Harish Rao and KT Rama Rao, are misleading the public with false narratives. He pointed out that 28 cases were registered against Kaushik Reddy during the BRS regime and presented evidence to support his claims.

Narender Reddy detailed the cases filed against Kaushik Reddy since 2013. These include an IPC 506 case in 2013 for death threats, and cases under IPC sections 507, 447, 427, 504, 188, and 351 in subsequent years. He added that many of these cases involved allegations of threatening government officials and obstructing their duties. He emphasized that these incidents occurred while the BRS was in power.

The Congress leader criticized Harish Rao for making what he termed “shameless” remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress government. He argued that the Congress cannot be blamed for cases registered during the BRS administration, spanning from 2014 to 2023.

Narender Reddy questioned the BRS party, asking them to clarify who is actually responsible for the cases against Kaushik Reddy. He claimed that the public’s support for the BRS party has significantly declined in the past year due to its governance failures.

Highlighting a recent incident, Narender Reddy alleged that Kaushik Reddy attempted to attack Minister Sridhar Babu during a meeting at the Karimnagar Collectorate. He also showed a video in which Kaushik Reddy was seen pushing Jagtial MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar.

Further, Narender Reddy accused KT Rama Rao (KTR) of diverting government funds in the Formula One E-Race case. He claimed that Rs. 55 crores were illegally transferred to foreign countries, as confirmed by the state’s chief secretary.

Concluding his remarks, Narender Reddy warned BRS leaders to stop spreading misinformation about the Congress government and CM Revanth Reddy. He asserted that Congress workers will not remain silent and will confront BRS leaders if such false accusations continue.
