Hyderabad: To help people connect with nature and understand the importance of forests, the Telangana Forest Development Corporation Ltd (TGFDC) organised a special event called “Rock Bay Nature Camp.” This camp took place on Saturday at the Forestrek Park in the Manchirevula area of the Chilkur Reserve Forest. The event was conducted under the brand name ‘Deccan Woods & Trails.’

A total of 66 students participated in the camp. The activities began with a Nature Walk, during which children learned about the various uses of trees. The walk aimed to educate and inspire the participants to appreciate the role of trees in the environment.

After the Nature Walk, the participants moved on to an adventure activities zone. Here, they enjoyed exciting challenges such as rock climbing, rappelling, commandonet, and skywalk. These activities were designed to make the camp both fun and engaging while promoting outdoor exploration.

Ranjeet Nayak, Executive Director of Eco-Tourism, highlighted the importance of such initiatives. He mentioned, “Today, participants are often disconnected from nature due to their lifestyle. We are committed to organising alcohol-free camps where families can take part and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.”
