State Formation Day celebrations prompt traffic restrictions

A traffic advisory has been issued for the ‘Suraksha Dinotsavam’ in Hyderabad. The city police have put restrictions in place for the Telangana Formation Day celebrations at Upper Tank Bund. These restrictions will be in effect for 24 hours from June 1 to June 2.

During this time, certain areas will experience traffic congestion and should be avoided. For example, traffic coming from Minister’s Road towards Necklace Rotary will be diverted towards Ranigunj Junction. Similarly, traffic from Ranigunj heading towards Necklace Rotary will be diverted towards Minister’s Road. Other diversions will be in place at Necklace Rotary, Old PS Saifabad, Telugu Thalli flyover, Liberty Junction, and more.

Motorists are advised to avoid specific junctions where heavy traffic is expected, such as Katta Maisamma, Old Ambedkar Statue, Telugu Thalli Junction, Liberty, Iqbal Minar, Indira Gandhi Rotary, VV Statue, Karbala, Old PS Saifabad, and Ravindra Bharathi.

In Secunderabad, traffic restrictions have been implemented for the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds. Restrictions are in place at Gunpark and Nampally from 9 am to 10 am. Motorists are urged to avoid certain junctions where heavy traffic is anticipated, including Ravindra Bharathi and AR Petrol Pump.

At Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, restrictions will be in effect from 6 am to 1 pm. Areas to avoid include Punjagutta, Greenlands, Begumpet to Secunderabad Parade Grounds, and surrounding roads. Traffic congestion is expected at various junctions in the area.

General passengers are advised to start their journeys early to reach Railway and Bus Stations on time. Parking for district buses and the general public attending the function is available at Bison Polo ground. VIP pass holders have separate parking arrangements. Citizens are encouraged to take note of diversions, use alternate routes, and cooperate with the Hyderabad traffic police.
