During the Ganesh festival, more than 1.36 lakh Ganesh idols were immersed at 5,878 designated points. At the same time, 330 processions were held across the state to mark Milad-un-Nabi. The DGP emphasized that strict guidelines were followed, and the situation was closely monitored from the State Police Headquarters to ensure everything went smoothly.

For the first time, more than 12,000 newly recruited Sub-Inspectors, who had just completed their training at the Telangana Police Academy, were deployed. They were joined by Police Constables still in training to gain firsthand experience in handling large-scale events like the Ganesh immersion processions.

Dr. Jitender also praised the efforts of Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, Cyberabad Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, and Rachakonda Commissioner G. Sudheer Reddy, along with their teams, for successfully managing the festivals. He expressed his satisfaction with how the events were handled and thanked all police personnel for their hard work. Additionally, he acknowledged the cooperation of other departments, which contributed to the peaceful celebrations.

As a preventive measure, several individuals were taken into custody to avoid any disturbances, and some cases were filed. The DGP noted that both Ganesh immersion and Milad-un-Nabi were celebrated between September 17 and 19 in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana.

To ensure public safety, foolproof arrangements were made, including the setting up of a Control Room at the DGP office to closely monitor the situation. A total of 15,400 personnel and 47 platoons were allocated across the state, with 10,000 police officers and 39 platoons dedicated to Hyderabad alone.

In addition to the festivities, 330 processions were organized for Milad-un-Nabi across the state. In Narayanpet town, a minor scuffle broke out over the placement of a flag by one community near the statue of another community. However, the police acted quickly to disperse the crowd and restore peace.

Overall, the police efforts ensured that the festivals were celebrated peacefully across Telangana.
