On the occasion of Teachers Day, the Telangana government will be giving State Awards to 54 teachers who have made a positive impact on the education system. These teachers have used different teaching methods and have improved the listening skills of children.
The awardees include professors and teachers from universities and government degree colleges, principals of government junior colleges, government junior lecturers, and teachers from government polytechnic colleges. Some of the notable teachers who will receive the award are P Narayana Varma, a Physical Science teacher at ZPHS Koritikal, S Padma, the Head Mistress of ZPHS Manjulapur in Nirmal district, K Laxma Rao, a Mathematics teacher at ZPHS Uppu in Nagarkurnool district, and P Jagadeeshwaraiah, the LFL-HM of MPPS Asadgunj in Mogudampally, Sangareddy district. The awards will be presented on Tuesday at Ravindra Bharathi.
S Padma, the Head Mistress of ZPHS Manjulapur, expressed her joy at receiving the award. She has worked hard throughout her career and receiving this recognition is a validation of her efforts. She started as a school assistant in Bio-Science in the same school and has now become the Gazetted Headmaster. In the last three years, her school has achieved a 100% pass rate in SSC exams and many students have secured admission in IIIT Basara. She previously received a district-level award and is now being honored at the state level.
Jagadeeshwaraiah, the LFL-HM of MPPS Asadgunj, Mogudampally, Sangareddy District, also expressed his gratitude for the recognition. He believes that this award is the result of hard work and dedication. His school has been recognized for achieving 100% enrollment and maintaining the school premises well. This achievement will motivate him to continue his teaching journey with utmost dedication and honesty.
P Narayana Varma, a 45-year-old school assistant in Physical Science at ZPHS Koritikal, has been preparing digital lessons for T-SAT for several years. His lessons have helped improve the listening skills of children as they are presented in a simplified way. He is also a module writer for teacher handbooks and Physical Science textbooks for Class 10. Besides teaching, he has also organized various awareness programs and encouraged the development of infrastructure facilities. He believes in art integration and uses different methodologies to teach his students, including physical exposure, as it helps them better understand and remember the concepts.
Overall, these teachers have made significant contributions to the education system and their efforts are being recognized and appreciated by the Telangana government.
