SSC Public Exams Commence Across Telangana Amidst High Temperatures

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams have begun across Telangana State, with a 99.60 percent attendance rate for the first language exam among the 4,85,954 regular students. In addition, 1,096 private candidates registered for the exams, with 79.01 percent taking the first language exam. The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) conducted the exams based on 100 percent of the syllabus, reducing the number of papers from 11 to six after a two-year hiatus. However, some students found the three-hour exam time insufficient to complete the paper, leading to demands for an increase in the number of papers for the next session. Suresh, a class 10 student, found the Telugu paper easy but struggled to complete it on time since Paper I and II were clubbed together. Similarly, Seema found the paper lengthy and couldn’t attempt a 10 marks question. Some parents suggested that having a single 80-mark paper has become a burden for students to score well and proposed that the education department should conduct exams with 11 papers for the next SSC public exam.
