Hyderabad: To spark interest and spread awareness about advanced technology among government school students, State IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inaugurated the “Futuristic Lab on Wheels” (FLOW) on Friday at the Secretariat.
This mobile lab is equipped with modern innovations such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR), robotics, 3D printing, and machine learning. It will travel across all 33 districts in the State, bringing these technologies directly to government school students.
The lab is part of the “Kalam Inspiration Yatra-33” initiative and was developed by a voluntary organisation. It received financial support of $100,000 through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding from Salesforce India. During the launch, Minister Sridhar Babu praised the project and highlighted its importance in igniting students’ curiosity and interest in modern technology.
“This mobile science lab will expose students to emerging technologies, encourage their creativity, and help them unlock their innovative potential,” the Minister said. He added that gaining knowledge of these advanced technologies will play a key role in shaping the students’ futures.
Minister Sridhar Babu also urged District Collectors, senior officials, and District Education Officers (DEOs) to ensure the lab reaches as many students as possible and successfully fosters their enthusiasm for technology.
