Soon, high rise buildings in Telangana will have a waste water reuse policy: KTR

0

The Telangana government will make buildings recycle and reuse wastewater, and have dual piping systems. The goal is to have net water neutrality. The government has invited agencies to establish Scientific Processing Units in 130 ULBs on a DBOT basis grouped into 9 clusters. The compost generated and the bailed dry RDF material will be sold to the tied-up industries by the agencies, reducing the burden on ULB towards cost involved in the processing of wet and dry waste. The state will also promote wastewater recycling in Hyderabad by introducing a policy.

KT Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, made these announcements during the World Environment Day celebrations at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) in Hyderabad. He asked for cooperation from ASCI and said that they will establish a circular economy hub at MAUD for resource efficiency, decarbonizing the economy, and climate change mitigation.
