The state government of Telangana celebrated Irrigation Day as part of the tenth anniversary of its formation. They released two songs about the revival of ponds and the Kaleshwaram project, which gained attention during the festivities. Noted singer and MLC Goreti Venkanna wrote the song about the revival of ponds, while the five-minute song about Kaleshwaram discussed how it addresses the irrigation crisis in Telangana. It also mentioned how Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao made agriculture a profitable profession and turned Telangana into a green land.
Goreti Venkanna also sang a song about the role of water bodies in daily life in villages. The state government released the two songs and encouraged the irrigation department to use them during the celebrations.
