A small fire broke out in a pantry car coach at the Secunderabad coaching depot washing line in Hyderabad. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.
The fire affected a pantry car and an AC coach of an empty parked train. Maintenance staff noticed smoke coming from the coach and quickly alerted authorities. State government fire officials were also informed. Railway personnel at the station responded promptly, using available firefighting equipment to put out the fire. They also isolated the affected coaches as a precaution.
SCR’s general manager, Arun Kumar Jain, visited the site to assess the situation and instructed divisional officials to take steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.
