SIO Telangana takes part in DSC protest at Dharna Chowk

Protesters gathered at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park in Hyderabad to express their frustration over the mistakes made by the government, which resulted in the loss of employment for English, Telugu, and Urdu medium DSC (District Selection Committee) aspirants. The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) Telangana joined the protest on Monday and called on the Telangana government to conduct a large-scale DSC recruitment for all vacant positions.

The protest mainly consisted of Urdu medium DSC aspirants. Abdul Rahman, the PR Secretary of SIO Telangana, addressed the crowd and criticized the government for releasing these DSC posts solely for election purposes. He demanded that the government conduct a comprehensive DSC and remove the reservation of seats for Urdu medium candidates.

According to Rahman, the DSC should adhere to the Right to Education Act (RTA). He highlighted the lack of faculty in many D.I.E.T colleges and the long-standing vacancies in guest faculty positions. This negligence has caused significant problems for aspiring teachers.

Professor Kondandram, a social activist, also participated in the protest. He voiced his support for the DSC aspirants and urged the government to take their demands seriously.

SIO Telangana reiterated its commitment to fighting for the rights of DSC aspirants and other marginalized groups in Telangana.
