Former Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy demanded the State government provide Rs 10,000/acre as compensation to farmers for damaged crops due to untimely rain. He criticized the government for deceiving people and not addressing the challenges faced by farmers.
During a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Reddy expressed his disappointment with the lack of support for farmers in the Congress regime. He highlighted the struggles faced by farmers and criticized the government for not taking immediate action to help them.
Reddy recalled a previous incident where Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao provided Rs 10,000/acre as compensation for damaged crops in Vikarabad and Warangal districts. He urged the current government to issue a similar GO to help farmers affected by the recent untimely rain in districts like Adilabad, Siddipet, Sircilla, and Karimnagar.
