Senior Congress leader Mohammad Ali Shabbir has criticized the police for using force against Anganwadi workers protesting at the Kamareddy Collectorate. The workers were peacefully demanding fair wages, job security, and insurance coverage. However, the police resorted to a violent lathicharge, causing injuries to several women activists.
Shabbir Ali, who took part in the protest, immediately transported the injured workers to the hospital in his vehicle. He expressed his strong disapproval of the police’s actions and contacted the Human Rights Commission and the Women’s Commission to report the incident. He also promised to accompany the victims in filing a complaint with these organizations on Thursday.
