Severe Water Shortage at Kasturba Gandhi School in Aiza Leaves Students Struggling

Gadwal: Students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Aiza Mandal have been struggling without water for the past five days. Despite the seriousness of the issue, no action has been taken by the district authorities or the state government to resolve it.

BRSV Jogulamba Gadwal District Coordinator, Kuruva Pallayya, visited the school to address the problem. He expressed frustration with the Congress government, led by Revanth Reddy, for neglecting schools, especially those serving underprivileged children.

Pallayya criticized the government for failing to provide basic water facilities. He pointed out that students are unable to wash their clothes, and the taps in the bathrooms have run dry. Students have had to carry water in buckets, which has been a major challenge for them.

He condemned the government’s indifference, accusing both the local administration and the Congress government of ignoring the students’ needs. “It is unfortunate that the government is showing complete disregard for education,” Pallayya remarked.

Pallayya called on the District Collector to take immediate action and restore water facilities for the students. He also mentioned the shortage of teachers, particularly for Intermediate students. In the MPC group, there is only one teacher, and in the CEC group, there are only two. He demanded that temporary teachers be recruited to fill the gaps and meet the students’ educational needs.

Other BRSV leaders, including Raju and Matthali, were also present during Pallayya’s visit.
