Seethakka Responds to KTR's Debt Allegations

Hyderabad: Minister for Panchayat Raj, Seethakka, responded strongly to accusations made by BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) about Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. KTR had claimed that Revanth Reddy accumulated loans of Rs 80,500 crore in just ten months.

Seethakka took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to issue a rebuttal. She pointed out that it was the previous government, led by KTR’s party, that created a situation where the State had to take new loans just to pay off the interest on existing debts.

According to Seethakka, KTR’s government was responsible for continuing the cycle of debt. She further revealed that during the nine and a half years of BRS rule, the State borrowed a massive Rs seven lakh crore.

Seethakka also highlighted that Rs 207 crore from the public exchequer is spent daily to pay just the interest and installments on these loans. This adds up to Rs 6,000 crore every month.
