In Mulugu, Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka inaugurated the Indira Mahila Shakti canteen on Tuesday. She mentioned that the government will support rural women to become entrepreneurs by providing necessary incentives. The canteen is the first of four planned in the area, located near the Collectorate office.

Seethakka emphasized the goal of creating employment opportunities for women in the state. A significant amount of Rs 20,000 crore will be allocated for loans, specifically for setting up Indira Mahila Shakti canteens in busy areas with new food ingredients. She stressed the importance of preparing food with quality and care in these canteens, aiming to establish them as a reputable brand nationwide.

Plans are in place to develop business models tailored to local resources and needs within the next five years. The government will offer various incentives for initiatives such as Meeseva, poultry, dairy businesses, and canteens. Additionally, interest-free loan facilities will be made available to women’s associations. The event was attended by members of Mahabubabad Parliament constituency, Porika Balaram Naik, district Collector Diwakara TS, Additional Collectors, district officials, and members of Priyadarshini Women’s Savings Association.
