South Central Railway (SCR) honored fourteen employees with the “Man of the Month” safety awards for their dedication and alertness. The awards were presented during a safety review meeting held on Monday.
According to SCR officials, the awardees came from different job categories, including loco pilots, station masters, technicians, points men, key/gate men, and track maintainers. Their contributions played a vital role in ensuring railway safety.
During the meeting, officials discussed ongoing safety drives related to various departments such as signal and telecommunications, engineering, and mechanical. They emphasized the need for continuous counselling sessions for field staff to improve train operation safety. Additionally, security measures for passengers traveling on MMTS and suburban trains were reviewed.
Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager of SCR, also addressed the issue of cattle trespassing on railway tracks in vulnerable areas. He reviewed the precautionary measures taken by different divisions and advised them to conduct more safety drives and awareness sessions for cattle farmers to prevent accidents.
