Spanning an area of 41 square kilometers and divided into eight wards, the SCB has implemented a strong waste management system. It operates 95 door-to-door garbage collection vehicles, ensuring efficient waste disposal. The efforts of dedicated sanitation workers have also played a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness in the region.

One of the SCB’s significant accomplishments is the complete restoration and cleaning of the Ramannakunta Lake. This project has not only improved the local environment but also showcased the Board’s commitment to sustainability.

To involve the community in its cleanliness initiatives, the SCB organized over 80 awareness rallies and 125 plogging drives. Additionally, the Board conducted educational campaigns in schools to teach children the importance of cleanliness and sustainability.

The SCB’s dedication to environmental conservation is further evident in its large-scale tree plantation drive. Over 15,000 trees have been planted as part of this initiative, contributing to a greener and healthier environment.

With these efforts, the Secunderabad Cantonment Board has set a high standard for cleanliness and environmental responsibility, solidifying its status as a role model for other cantonments across the country.
