Santhi Kumari urges increased efforts to prevent the spread of infectious diseases

Telangana Chief Secretary, Santhi Kumari, has instructed district collectors to take action against the spread of infectious diseases in flood-affected areas following heavy rainfall in the state. The chief secretary held a teleconference with the collectors to discuss relief and rehabilitation efforts. Thanks to the combined efforts of collectors, police officers, and district administration, there has been a reduction in loss of life and property. Relief programs will continue for another 24 hours.

Now that the floods have subsided, the collectors have been advised to focus on sanitation programs to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in affected areas. Infrastructure, food, and fresh water should be provided to victims in relief camps. NDRF teams are stationed in various districts for assistance, and the government is prepared to provide whatever support is necessary for rehabilitation.

Despite unprecedented rainfall in some districts, the damage has been minimized through joint efforts by NDRF and the district machinery.
