The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, spoke highly of sanitation workers across the state. He thanked them for their invaluable service in keeping villages and urban areas clean. The government plans to honour the best sanitation workers as part of the upcoming 10th State Formation Day celebrations. The slogan for the day will be “Safayanna Niku Salamanna” which means “Greetings to you, the sanitation worker”.

KCR said that society cannot function without sanitation workers and their hard work is divine. He compared their services to keeping our hair and beard trimmed, and said that we owe them for our happiness. KCR urged society to recognize the efforts of sanitation workers and help them whenever possible.
