Mohammed Waliullah Sameer, a resident of Hyderabad and Congress candidate for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, revealed a plan to address issues in the city. He aims to bring positive changes to the neglected Old City, focusing on unemployment, education, and civic amenities. Sameer plans to allocate Rs 5,000 crore for development in the area, creating job opportunities.

He highlighted the high unemployment rate in the Old City and promised to prioritize its development if elected. Sameer mentioned the Congress party’s presence in Telangana and its potential to form the next government at the Centre, indicating easier project approvals for Hyderabad. The Chief Minister has initiated the Metro Rail project in the Old City, set to be operational soon.

The Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation will offer loans to residents for promoting entrepreneurship. Sameer also plans to enhance SETWIN with more funds and staff, providing job training programs for youth. The Congress party has pledged an international school in each district, including one for Hyderabad’s Old City, to improve education standards and infrastructure.

These efforts aim to combat teacher absenteeism and create a safe learning environment for children. Sameer’s comprehensive plan focuses on empowering youth, education revitalization, healthcare equity, and economic development in the neglected Old City of Hyderabad.
