Samagra Shiksha Employees Continue Strike for Job Regularization
The indefinite strike by Samagra Shiksha employees reached its 25th day on Friday. The employees have been protesting to demand the regularization of their jobs. As part of their demonstration, they observed Savitribai Phule’s birth anniversary by celebrating Women’s Teachers’ Day. The event highlighted the contributions of female employees in the education system. The protestors also urged the government to fulfill its promise of regularizing their jobs and implementing a proper pay scale until the process is completed.
Prominent leaders and supporters joined the protest to show solidarity with the employees. Former Zilla Parishad Chairperson and Congress leader from Gadwal constituency, Saritha Tirupathayya, participated in the event. MIM president Munnabhasha, TBSF & JVV Gadwal district president J. Ellaswamy, United Struggle Committee district president Mohan, and Nadigadda Social Puram vice-president Pratap were also present.
Teachers from various parts of the district joined the protest during their lunch break to support the demands of the striking employees. Additionally, special officers from different Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) participated in the program, further strengthening the movement. The employees remain firm in their demands and continue to call upon the government to address their grievances.
