The TSRTC has good news for people who want to go home for Sankranti. They will have 4,484 special bus services available from January 6 to 15. These services will run from Hyderabad to AP, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. The MD of TSRTC, VC Sajjanar, shared this information in a media conference. He also mentioned that free travel for women will be applicable in these special services.
MD Sajjanar assured that all arrangements have been made for the convenience of passengers traveling home for Sankranti. Special buses have been arranged without increasing the fare, so passengers won’t face any inconvenience. Moreover, special camps have been set up for RTC passengers in congested areas like Uppal Cross Road, LB Nagar, Arangar, and KPHB.
To ensure smooth operations, control centers have been established at Bus Bhavan and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station to monitor busy areas regularly. Special lanes for RTC buses have been arranged at toll plazas to expedite passengers’ journey. Sajjanar advised people not to travel in private buses with high fares and instead opt for the safe and reliable option of RTC buses to reach their destinations.
