The Education Minister of Hyderabad, Sabita Indra Reddy, held a video conference with district collectors, Education secretary Vakati Karuna, and Director of School Education Sridevasena to review the arrangements for the upcoming SSC public examinations in March 2023. The exams are set to begin on April 3 and will be held across the state in 2,652 centres, with a total of 4.94 lakh students expected to appear. The minister emphasized the need for smooth conduct of the exams and urged officials to ensure that students do not come under pressure or fear while writing the exam.
To achieve this, she asked officials to clear doubts of students appearing for the exam and instill confidence in them. School managements, teachers, and parents were also urged to take an active part in ensuring that students remain stress-free while writing the exam. The minister highlighted the key role that district collectors play in the successful conduct of the SSC exams and asked them to take special steps at the exam centres due to the rising temperatures in the coming days.
Officials were asked to prepare an action plan for transparent conduct of the exams, including installing CCTV cameras for continuous monitoring and setting up a control room to oversee the conduct of the exams. The minister also asked officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the centres and to provide drinking water and stock ORF sachets. Hall tickets have been sent to students’ respective schools, and they can also download them online at bse.telngana.gov.in.
The total number of exam papers has been reduced from 11 to six from the current academic year, and physics and life sciences question papers will be distributed separately to students. District-wise special observers have been appointed to oversee the exams, and students can show their hall-tickets to avail of free transportation in TSRTC buses. The minister asked district collectors to ensure sufficient numbers of RTC bus services to and from the exam centres.
In addition to conducting special classes for students, a special menu has been provided to them during the classes. The minister’s emphasis on smooth conduct and reduced pressure for students reflects the government’s commitment to providing quality education to all students in the state.
