State Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy announced that social and emotional skill training will be provided to students starting from this academic year. The decision was made following the guidance of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who suggested adopting a Delhi-modelled policy. The aim is to enhance self-confidence, emotional well-being, and social skills among students.

Under the proposed skill training program, one school in each district will be selected. Students from Classes 6 and 7 will receive training on these skills. This training will help them develop self-confidence and remain positive in challenging situations. Additionally, two teachers from the selected schools will also undergo special training.

The State government is also planning to introduce a program to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among students. In the first phase, 25 model schools in eight districts will be selected, and 2,500 first intermediate students will receive special training. The top 1,500 innovative models will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 2,000. An exhibition will also be organized to showcase all the student innovation models. The government will continue to support these students in becoming future entrepreneurs and industrialists.
