Rythu Bandhu scheme to benefit 150,000 tribal farmers in Telangana

The Rythu Bandhu scheme, which has been implemented for five years, will include more than 1.5 lakh farmers from Tribal communities who will receive Rs 5,000 per acre for input costs in June. This will bring the total number of beneficiaries to over 72 lakhs. The government will distribute land title deeds to identified beneficiaries, and officials have begun collecting bank account information from tribal farmers. The distribution program will begin on June 24th. Most of the identified farmers cultivate Podu lands in Khammam, Adilabad, Warangal, and Karimnagar districts. The government has allocated Rs 15,000 crore for the scheme this year, but officials say more funds will be needed. The benefit will be released to small farmers first and then to other farmers. All farmers, including those who own more than 20 acres, will receive the benefit without delay, since it is an election year.
