The long weekend between August 15 and 19 contributed to a record revenue of Rs 32 crore for RTC. Of this, Rs 17 crore came from the Mahalakshmi Scheme, while Rs 15 crore was generated through regular ticket sales. A total of 2,587 special buses were operated over three days to accommodate the increased demand.

According to RTC, 92 out of 97 depots recorded more than 100 percent occupancy on Raksha Bandhan. A total of 63.86 lakh people traveled on that day alone. In the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, 12.91 lakh and 11.68 lakh passengers traveled, respectively. Districts such as Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, and Warangal also saw significant passenger counts with 6.37 lakh, 5.84 lakh, and 5.82 lakh travelers, respectively.

RTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar congratulated the employees for their dedication, commitment, and discipline, especially in the face of heavy rain.
