Roadshows spark public outrage

The BJP has decided to split PM Narendra Modi’s eight-hour roadshow in Bengaluru over two days. The decision was made due to concerns from locals about the difficulties they would face during a day-long programme. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje stated that the PM will now hold a roadshow on Saturday from 10 am to 1.30 pm and from 10 am to 2.30 pm the following day. Karnataka votes on May 10 and May 8 is the last day for campaigning, with votes being counted on May 13. Party leaders said the roadshows on May 6 and 7 would go through 19 of the total 28 Assembly constituencies in the city.
