She emphasized that RMPs (Registered Medical Practitioners) and PMPs (Private Medical Practitioners) should not use the titles “Dr” or “Doctor” before their names, nor should they refer to their centers as clinics, nursing homes, or hospitals. Instead, they should only use the term “first aid centers.” Additionally, they are prohibited from using injections and fluids in their practice.

The Collector also stressed the importance of doctors writing prescriptions clearly so that pharmacists can easily understand them.

Furthermore, she directed officials to monitor hospitals and diagnostic centers to ensure they do not conduct pre-natal sex determination tests, which are illegal under the Pre-Conception Pre-Natal Determination Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 (PCPNDT).

Later in the meeting, DM&HO Dr. K Venkataramana updated the Collector on the current dengue situation in the district.
