A review meeting was held to discuss the progress of road projects, including those in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) areas. The meeting was attended by District Forest Officers and engineering department officials from various districts. The projects are at different stages of processing, with a total of 157 projects under consideration.
The officers were urged to prioritize proposals for roads in rural areas. User agencies were asked to identify non-Forest Land without encumbrances in advance to prevent delays in processing. District Forest Officers were instructed to recommend measures for Wildlife mitigation for roads in protected areas.
It was emphasized that work should not begin without approval from the competent authority, as this can cause inconvenience and delays in processing.
