Gadwal: District Additional Collector Narsing Rao visited Ittikyala Mandal on Thursday to inspect works being carried out under the Employment Guarantee Scheme. As part of his visit, he reviewed ongoing projects in Nandu Sheikpalle, Ittikyala, and Kodandapuram Gram Panchayats.
During the inspection, he checked the construction of various structures. These included NAPED compost pits costing ₹18,000, cattle sheds built for ₹86,000, and rooftop water harvesting structures constructed at a cost of ₹25,000.
The Additional Collector stressed the importance of completing all projects planned under the five-month action plan, which runs from December to March. He urged officials to ensure that there are no delays in finishing the work.
He also highlighted how the scheme is benefiting local job card holders. Farmers with less than five acres of land and those who own cattle are receiving significant support through this program. He encouraged eligible farmers to take advantage of these opportunities.
The inspection team included APO Shiva Jyothi, PAs Lavanya and Hasan, the Panchayat Secretary, and several Field Assistants.
