Revenue Minister to release White Paper on Dharani portal in the near future

In Hyderabad, the State government will soon release a ‘white paper’ on the Dharani portal, similar to those on Irrigation, Finance, and Energy departments. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy made this announcement at a seminar on ‘Telangana Punarnirmanam’ in Osmania University. He criticized the Dharani portal scheme as poorly implemented and alleged that it was designed to encroach government lands.

Reddy stated that the Dharani portal has caused trouble for even small farmers with five guntas of land. He mentioned that there were 2.45 lakh pending applications related to Revenue and Dharani across the State. Special camps will be held at mandal offices from March 1 to 7 to clear these applications.

The minister also mentioned the government’s plan to fill two lakh jobs within a year and assured that all poll promises would be implemented by the next year. He said that 23,000 vacant posts have already been filled and that notifications for filling 6,000 more posts will be issued on March 2.

At the seminar, TJS chief Prof M Kodandaram criticized the previous government for causing destruction in Telangana for almost a decade. He referred to the CAG report, highlighting how the previous government misused power for their interests. He also mentioned that it was the first time in 30 years that a Cabinet Minister had visited the Arts College building, with the last visit by D Srinivas holding the Information portfolio.
