Hyderabad: BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao referred to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy as a child, saying that he was behaving irresponsibly. He warned that CM will not be able to harm the BRS party.
During a meeting of party leaders in Telangana Bhavan, KCR criticized the CM for his personal attacks on him and his party. He stated, “You cannot touch me or my party. We have faced bigger leaders in the past, and I will not be afraid of you. I will always prioritize the interests of the people of Telangana.”
KCR emphasized the importance of Telangana’s interests for the BRS party. He said that the CM may not remain in power for long and encouraged leaders to hold meetings and create awareness among the people about government policies. He reminded them that the BRS party has 39 members and urged them to continue fighting for their cause.
Rao recalled a previous incident where Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhavat pressured him to hand over Krishna Basin projects. He expressed his determination to protect Telangana’s interests and highlighted the negative consequences if the projects were handed over to the Centre. He criticized the new rulers for their lack of knowledge about these projects.
Rao called upon BRS activists to participate in a protest program called ‘Chalo Nalgonda’ on February 13. He emphasized the risks faced by the people of Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, and Hyderabad if the projects were handed over, leading to drought and lack of drinking water.
