Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy paid tribute to freedom fighter and India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, on his birth anniversary today, Thursday, November 14. He also extended warm wishes to children across the country on National Children’s Day, which is celebrated every year in honor of Nehru’s birthday.
The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to improve school education. He explained that the government has introduced new changes to ensure children are well-prepared as future citizens of India. These changes, he said, are aimed at making sure that children from poorer and weaker sections of society are not deprived of education.
Revanth Reddy also shared that the responsibility of providing two sets of uniforms each year to children in government schools has been given to women’s self-help groups. Additionally, he mentioned that the government has already decided to offer free electricity to schools.
