Revanth Hits Back at BRS, Claims Only Four Members of KCR's Family Lost Jobs

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy responded strongly to BRS leader K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s controversial comments about the state’s government performance. The CM stated that under the Congress rule, people have benefited greatly in just 10 months, while only four people lost their jobs, and they were from KCR’s own family.

While handing out appointment letters to newly recruited Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspectors (AMVI), Revanth Reddy highlighted that his government has created job opportunities for unemployed youth and helped farmers by waiving their loans. He also mentioned other benefits provided by his government, such as free bus travel for women on RTC buses, subsidized gas cylinders, and free electricity of up to 200 units.

The CM took a jab at KCR, saying that no one misses his absence and that the people of Telangana have already moved on from him. He added that the state no longer needs KCR’s services and expressed hope that KCR would change his attitude and support the state’s progress. Revanth Reddy also invited suggestions from KCR if any mistakes were found in the governance. He noted that while school students may be absent sometimes, it was strange that the main opposition leader was not attending the Assembly sessions.

The Chief Minister also criticized BRS working president KT Rama Rao. He accused some leaders of using drugs during a housewarming celebration and remarked that a leader should be a role model, not someone who celebrates with drugs and alcohol. He urged the youth to socially reject such leaders and instead, look up to people like Srikantha Chari, who sacrificed his life during the Telangana movement.

Revanth Reddy also encouraged the newly recruited AMVIs to inspire students and unemployed youth in their villages to prepare for competitive exams. He stressed the importance of education in gaining recognition and respect and asked the youth to have faith in the government. Additionally, he directed officials to take effective steps to control drug and ganja smuggling in border areas. The CM also asked the Transport Department to help in keeping Hyderabad pollution-free, and he announced that the government would soon introduce a new Electric Vehicle (EV) policy.
